HISTORY

 Foundation

Georgetown University is the result of a dream of  a Jesuit Priest to set up an education system that will secure American Catholicism. Since them the university has grown to setup schools in various disciplines including business. The McDonough School of Business named after Robert Emmett McDonough was established in 1957.

 Campus

Set in the campus which is also the highest employer of the capital city, the students have rich exposure to all the facilities of the capital city - not just the government enterprises and fortune 500 companies, companies are also setting shops in areas including education, public policy, finance, scientific research and real estate.

 Infrastructure

In addition the to the existing architectural building, a new building  is being built which is due for completion in 2009. The new building is expected to house a 200 seating auditorium, more faculty rooms, increased lecture, seminar and conference space and more tiered classrooms.

Both on-campus and off-campus facilities are available at Georgetown.
